Earnest Johnson

Prevention Specialist

Earnest Johnson serves as Prevention Specialist centering efforts on populations in Madison and Rankin Counties.  Mr. Johnson has been charged with the duty of educating the counties’ citizens about the dangers of alcohol, tobacco, and illicit drugs with special attention to vaping and prescription drug misuse.  


After devoting approximately 30 years to the Mississippi Department of Child Protection Services, retiring as Regional Social Work Supervisor, Earnest brings his passion for safeguarding youth and strengthening the community to this role. Mr. Johnson is a graduate of Jackson State University and a long-time Licensed Social Worker.
